All the sculptures in this section mark my ongoing love affair with porcelain - one of the most beautiful and delicate substances I have encountered. I think porcelain captures both the beauty and the fragility inherent in what we call life.

Working with porcelain, or slip, is in itself an art form, and I am much indebted to Mike at Middlesex University for showing me the ropes.

Also, thanks to Zoe for modelling for the ‘Zoe, Ruler of Britannia’ series. I had some pictures of her in mid-process: sitting still on a highish stool completely adorned in a large garbage bag, and a plaster cast head! It felt as if we were on the set of After Hours.
