I do not believe that photography constitutes a realistic medium. I know much has been said and written on this topic, and artists have made a name either in the pursuit of realistic or ‘fantastic’ photography. In my opinion, the camera is not neutral, and you can manipulate an image even by as simply as using different brands of camera! Oh no, I m not saying, “go out and buy 10 different cameras.” And, I do not work for the camera manufacturers association. I m simply making some observations… I think the search for ‘reality’ is the result of ego-centric projection. We all have our own realities, and we all have a tough time dealing with the many other realities out there. Perhaps if we stopped believing in the notion of ‘one reality’ the diversity of life and living would become bearable, and I dare say, enjoyable.
